A-Team Minutes

Barbara announced that Melba Major has been hired as manager for the Emily Jones Pointer Library in Como. Melba has managed bookstores in Mississippi and Vermont and currently lives in Batesville. The Branch Managers are pleased with the revised statistics sheet which will go into effect October 1. Barbara will be out of the office in the morning. She will represent the library September 22-24, at the Delta Conference in Tunica.
Marty continues to work on credit card payment options. The Sirsi server has been upgraded. The upgrade will go into effect soon. A draft of the OverDrive brochure and/or bookmark is due Friday.
Angie and Joel will participate in a webinar from TechSoup on Thursday afternoon. They will attend Microsoft Tech Net Training on Tuesday morning, September 23. Angie has received three quotes to upgrade the security cameras in Hernando.
Judy continues to work on various grant-related projects. She and David are working on publicity for the Hernando Storytelling Festival and are finalizing an FRL Big Read Calendar. She is preparing for the Youth Specialist Meeting which will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 1:00-3:30 pm, in Olive Branch. She will be away from the office Wednesday afternoon and off all day on Thursday. She will be at Oxford on Friday. She is on vacation September 25 & 26.
Catherine is finalizing the budget for presentation at the Thursday, September 18th Board Meeting. She will attend a MAGNOLIA Steering Committee meeting in Jackson on September 24.
